Kevin accepted the position of Lead Pastor in July of 2007. Prior to coming to River of Life, he served as Youth Pastor & Associate Pastor at First Assembly of God in Minot, ND for a total of 14 years.
Pastor Kevin graduated from Minot State University with a degree in Elementary Education and was employed by Minot Public Schools as a 6th grade teacher prior to becoming a Youth Pastor. He also attended North Central Bible College in Minneapolis, MN where he received a One Year Bible Certificate.
Pastor Kevin and Monica have 3 children- Nicole, Marc, & Kerstyn and one granddaughter, Serenity.
Marc is the son of Pastor Kevin and Monica, and grew up attending River of Life and graduated from DLHS in 2017. Upon graduating, In 2021, Marc graduated from Trinity Bible College and Graduate School with a double bachelors in Biblical Studies and in Worship Ministries. After teaching in Williston for two years, Marc went back to Trinity and received his Masters in Global Theology in 2025.
During his time in Williston, Marc taught as a Bible and Music arts teacher at a private Christian school, where he developed his love for teaching and training the next generation.
Marc loves international travel, reading, and a good cup of coffee. One thing that Marc enjoys the most is sharing his love of coffee, tea, and new foods with his students.
Sonja has been a part of River of Life since 2018, and in 2025 joined our team as the Kids Min Director. Having experienced a strong call to minister to children, Sonja attended several college-level programs before completing her Elementary Education and Biblical Studies courses through VCU and Trinity Bible College.
Sonja is married to Seth, and has two energetic girls, Ellie (5) and Emmi (2) who keep them on their toes and bring fresh life and joy to both our church and staff meetings.
Monicas has served in a variety of roles at River of Life since moving to Devils Lake in 2007. She has offered her expertise in Kids Min, Worship, Hospitality, and most recently as our Office Manager.
Monica attended Trinity Bible College where she receieved a One Year Bible Certificate before moving back to her hometown of Minot, where she met Pastor Kevin.
Monica and Pastor Kevin have been married since 1992 and continue to have their hearts and home open to the people of River of Life.
Our board consists of elected individuals from the members of River of Life who are qualified as stipulated in our Constitution and Bylaws.
